- Abstract
This article describes a case of odontogenic infection successfully treated through fistulectomy and apicectomy. The patient, a 15-year-old teenager, presented with a cutaneous fistula in the right mandible region that had not been resolved with previous medical treatments. After a correct diagnosis, conventional endodontic treatment was performed in two sessions, followed by a surgical approach. The patient showed satisfactory healing progress and did not present signs of infection after 2 years and 8 months of follow-up. It is concluded that accurate diagnosis and appropriate multidisciplinary approach are essential for the successful treatment of odontogenic infections and their sequelae.
