- Authors
Isfandyari-Moghaddam, Alireza; Saberi, Mohammad-Karim
- Abstract
The article presents information about a study done at Iran's Islamic Azad University regarding the decay of valid URL (uniform resource locator) web addresses or abbreviations on the internet. It focuses on looking at every issue of "Journal of the Medical Library Association" (JMLA) from 2002-2008, trying URLs from each issue to see if they work, and reporting the results from the trials. It then discusses conclusions of the study which show a correlation between the age of the website's URL and its half-life.
