- Abstract
The article discusses an essay entitled "A Bibliographer's Apologia Pro Vita Sua," written by Harrison T. Meserole, one of the speakers of the ceremony dedicated to the seventeenth-century research collection of the University of Wisconsin. It is stated that the essay is a product of Meserole's reflections on the perils of a bibliographer's work while working as chief bibliographer and editor of the MLA International Bibliography. The article also expresses gratitude to Meserole for bringing error to attention and encourages everyone to read his essay.
