COMBATING TERRORIST FINANCING: DRAFT RESOLUTION.
- Abstract
The article offers information on several ways on how to combat terrorist financing as suggested by the participants of the Preparatory Colloqium for the Eighteenth International Congress of Penal Law held on April 9-12, 2008 in the Franklin Thomas Backus School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. One recommendation presented during the meeting is the consideration of the usefulness and necessity of the controls against financing terrorism in preventing, investigating and reducing the harm cause by terrorist operations. Another is noting the lack of universal definition of terrorism. Last is the difference between terrorist financing and money laundering practices.
