- Abstract
The authors reflect on the usage of oceanographic research vessel by the U.S. Military that covers activities for the advantage of the nation over another. They criticize the Navy on putting the vessel into danger in which it has financed much and has benefited more about the result of the research. Moreover, they express their fear that the scientific community would be forbidden to sail into territorial waters because of the event, however, the community remains passive about it.
