- Abstract
Peer-coaching is one of the methods to enhance the professional development of teachers. As the online communities of Web 2.0 technologies is the virtual environment which supports teacher peer-coaching in a situation of temporal and spatial segregation, studies into the technical support of Web 2.0 is one of the keys to designing an online community environment for teacher peer-coaching. On the basis of literature review, this paper has established a framework for teacher peer-coaching [activities] based on Web 2.0 technical support. This paper is divided into four parts: first, it introduces the background for this study; second, it defines what it meant by teacher peer-coaching; third, it describes the support which Web 2.0 technologies render the teacher peer-coaching community; fourth, it constructs a framework for teacher peer-coaching [activities] with the support of Web 2.0 technologies. It is the authors' hope that the framework proposed by this study could provide a foundation for designing an online community environment in support of teacher peer-coaching, and to effectively promote teacher peer-coaching through practice.
