- Title
Does making NHS organizations pay for mistakes improve patient safety?
- Authors
Walsh, Peter
- Abstract
The article examines the proposed never events list from the National Health Services (NHS) that will financially punish NHS organizations, which allow incidents from the list to harm patients. After relating the several events chosen by the National Patient Safety Agency and comparing the approach from the U.S., it argues that the list will be added to the NHS approach to patient safety. It suggests for more incidents to be added in the list.
