- Abstract
An essay is presented on the works of jazz musicians Charles Mingus, Jimmy Knepper and the film "Jerry Maguire." It states that Mingus has a history of playing in all jazz styles, and he played with several musicians, including Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampton, and Charlie Parker. Trombonist Jimmy Knepper was hired by Mingus first in 1946 when Mingus was leading a band at the jazz club in Los Angeles, California. The film "Jerry Maguire" is about love and racism.
