- Abstract
The integration curriculum theme is clearly in evidence in education research, especially in the field of professional education in Brazil. One of the most important studies presented concerns the school curriculum marked by the fragmentation and compartmentalization of knowledge. The expression integrated curriculum refers to the interdisciplinary organization in which the articulation between the different disciplines is ensured in a methodological unit. The vision of an integrated curriculum, defended in this work, is affiliated with the perspective of omnilateral training within the Marxist tradition in which educational institutions aim to promote and expand the development of human capacities. In this propose, possible interfaces, in professional education, between interdisciplinary practices and curricular integration are presented, based on the theory of developmental teaching, formulated by the Russian psychologist V. V. Dayvdov. In conclusion, a discussion about interdisciplinarity and curricular integration is made, considering the educational purposes of school education in a historical-cultural perspective and, also, an experience of curricular integration in the context of an integrative project.
