- Abstract
The purpose is to analyze and discuss the notion of diversity in educational policies for school integration and inclusion from 1990 to the present. In this sense, raise the biological component of diversity, the presence of decolonial influence in the conceptions of diversity that are held and sketch the transition from a focus of educational inclusion to one of social inclusion, through the achievement of initial training teacher (FID) that responds to diversity through intersectionality and the promotion of critical thinking in the student body. We consider that the conception of diversity in the Chilean educational system and in educational policies is limited, since it does not cover the different dimensions of the human being and does not respond to the demands of today's society of the 21st century, to the realization of a life dignified, with plurality of identities and with social justice. In this sense, the social inclusion approach must be adopted to form a critical citizenship in the school that validates the postulates of intersectionality, contributing to the transformations for a democratic and critical society. This article conceives reality from the perspective of radical constructivism and attempts to address the issue through an exhaustive review and bibliographic analysis.
