- Abstract
In this article, the author analyzes the work of architectural photographer Arno Gisinger. According to the author, Gisinger is a type of photographer whose approach is archaeological. He notes that Gisinger sees his approach as crucial for the contemporary photographer to review the very ways in which the medium has made history. He also discusses the effort of Ginsinger to work with the Andreas Hofer panorama of Innsbruck, dissecting its ideological meanings as the same time as he has exposed its visual mechanisms.
