Current economic conditions.
Abstract
The article provides an overview of the economic condition of Canada in 2007 and 2008. Economic growth slowed in the late in 2007, punctuated by a sharp drop in automobile output in the country and more losses in housing in the U.S. But other leading indicators of the economy remained buoyant, especially high commodity prices and low inventories. Employment in the country rebounded 0.3% in January 2008 due to widespread gains.
