- Abstract
This work reflects on the changes geopolitics has undergone on the previous centuries, from the Eurocentric colonial model to US hegemony. Particularly, it lays an emphasis on geopolitical turns produced by the emergence of manifold issues and agents mediating on a worldwide scale, shaping a contemporary order characterized by plural power relationships and by strains overcoming the nation-states regulating role and intertwining on various scales, from the international to the regional and local levels. Geopolitics appears to be linked today both to the political management of individuals' life and control over their bodies, through landscape ranking and nature control, as well as to care and diffusion of collective security producing techniques. In the end, a reflection is suggested on the potential consequences of these hegemonic discourses on Panamazonian territorial planning and on its traditional dwellers' life.
