Abstract
Reports that Great Britain's Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has decreed that breeding rams of recognized rare breeds will no longer have to be slaughtered if they are found to bear the most scrapie-susceptible genotype, under the National Scrapie Plan (NSP). Results of an NSP survey of genotypes within rare breeds; Plan to establish an archive of semen from scrapie-susceptible rams.
