- Abstract
This article discusses findings of a study, which determined the frequency of BRAFV600E mutation and the expression of p27Kip1 protein in a series of primary papillary thyroid carcinomas (PTC) and their paired lymph node metastases. T1799A transversion mutation, formerly known as BRAF T1796A mutation, is the most common BRAF mutation in exon 15 of the gene. In this study, all primary tumors were classified as classical variants of PTC.
