The article describes two cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the lungs that were diagnosed using dual-phase F-FDG positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET)/(CT) scanning. The first case involves a 55-year-old male life-long smoker who complained of chest pain, shortness of breath and haemoptysis. The second case involves a 46-year-old female smoker who complained of shortness of breat and productive cough.
