- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 36-year-old Bengali woman with a history of well-controlled diabetes who presented with fever and malaise. Topics covered include the physical and laboratory examination conducted on the patient which found that she had a septic abortion and had retained products of conception (RPOC) from an incomplete miscarriage, the incidence and pathophysiology of septic abortion, and patient outcome following suction dilation and curettage.
