- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 77-year-old woman underwent a right posterolateral minithoracotomy for resection of a right lower lobe adenocarcinoma with mediastinal node sampling. Her chest X-ray showed collapse/consolidation in the right lower lobe, and the patient was commenced on intravenous moxifloxacin and metronidazole for presumed aspiration pneumonia. She remained critically ill, with persisting fevers despite antibiotic therapy.
