- Abstract
The article focuses on the implication of the U.S. draft energy bill proposing to address energy independence and climate change as a cap and trade scheme. A coalition of large energy-intensive companies warns that this draft may cost more jobs in the country. Edward Markey predicts that this will create clean energy jobs that cannot be shipped overseas lessen foreign oil dependence and make the country the global leader in energy technology.
