- Abstract
The article addresses the economic and legal issues related to the unionization of physicians in the U.S. The authors assert the right of physicians to unionize and explain the benefits of unionization, including the role of unions in helping hospital-employed physicians protect their patients when patient interests are not aligned with the hospital's financial interests.
