- Abstract
The article focuses on the life and works of Italian architect Andrea Palladio in the 16th century Italian Renaissance. Palladio was educated as a stonemason and studied ancient roman architecture in Rome through the mentorship of philosopher and linguist Giorgio Trissino. He received architectural commissions from rich noblemen in Vicenza and Venetia. His works were noted to convey experimenting with design parameters to allow for functional effects in systematic way.
