- Abstract
The article discusses the author's experience as a student teacher who teaches a unit on sounds during a practice work in elementary education in New Jersey. He cites the experiments which were used such as the problem to find the necessary things in making sounds. During a class discussion, he made a list of things that produces sound that includes talking, birds, bells, wind, horns and thunder. He added that as the class study about sounds, students learned new words that gave added meaning to their facts and concepts.
