- Abstract
The article discusses the difficulty of acquiring images for literary piece. Topics include copyright bills covered by an artist, electronic books and digitization, and rights of painting. It cites the 1999 court case Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp. in which exact reproductions of public domain images are not subject to copyright. A review of Peter Baldwin's book "The Copyright Wars: Three Centuries of Trans-Atlantic Battle" is also given.
