- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 73-year-old Caucasian woman with bilateral cataracts. Based on her ocular examination, the woman has no systemic disease that can predispose to zonular dehiscence. It mentions that the woman has been inflicted with zonular dehiscence after her phacoemulsification cataract surgery. It notes that the bilateral zonular dehiscence of patient is caused by the neodymium:yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser peripheral iridotomies (LPIs).
