- Abstract
The article discusses the advancements in microarray technology, particularly for diagnostic testing in prenatal screening. Topics discussed include use of array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) for detection of genome-wide chromosomal imbalances not detected by karyotyping, for both bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone arrays and oligonucleotide aCGH, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) chips, and use of software options with genomic copy number variations (CNVs) collection.
