- Abstract
The article describes the use of phytosociological methods in ecological investigations. Metamorphic rocks of the Dalradian series cover the region of the Breadalbane and Rannoch districts of Perthshire, Scotland, and it has been observed that the stratigraphy of the region is complex. The types of rock found in the region include the quartzite, the Ben Lawers schist, the quartzite-schist and limestone. Several plant species and communities that are found in this region include Carex spp., Eleocharis pauciflora and Eriophorum angustifolium.
