- Title
Factors and prevention of pulp irritation by adhesive composite resin restorations.
- Authors
Fusayama, Takao
- Abstract
The article reports on a study related to the factors and prevention of pulp irritation caused by dental restorations. As reported, pulp irritation can also be caused by cavity preparation and such irritation can occur when the inner carious dentin is cut beyond the outer carious dentin. It is further reported that the separation of resin from dentin is the most fundamental factor of pulp irritation. It is suggested that careful preservation of the uninfected inner carious dentin and complete removal of the infected outer carious dentin is important for the adhesive resin restoration.
