- Authors
Weiner, Saul
- Abstract
The article describes the glazing of a porcelain veneered restorations. The author explains that the first thing to do is to ask the dental laboratory to return the porcelain veneered restoration in the bisque state. In the next visit, it is important to conduct the contouring procedure, then wash and scrub the porcelain veneer with mild soap and soft toothbrush. He also states the need to remove the restoration from the ultrasonic cleaner and place the restoration on a saggar tray. Another is to place the saggar tray with the restoration in the oven with a temperature of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit from two to three minutes and then remove the saggar tray from the oven and inspect if the surface is glazed.
