The article presents a study on the impact of labels based on standardized student growth on a rural school in Colorado. Topics include the Adequate Yearly Progress requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) 2001 in the U.S., the effects of strong accountability on the enhancement of student achievement, and an understanding of the Colorado Growth Model (CGM) on teaching and learning measurement.
