The article discusses a research study which explores the issue of race in the early encounters of Anglo-American and Mexican-American Baptists in Texas. Topics covered include the historiography of Mexican-African Baptists based on books that include "Baptist Heritage", "Baptist Ways", and "The Story of Baptists in the United States", the arrival of Mexican-American Baptists in Texas in the 1800s and factors that affected interaction between Anglo-Americans and Mexican-American Baptists.
