- Abstract
The article discusses the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), one of the few women's missionary organizations not absorbed into broader missionary enterprises in the early 20th century. The WMU's support as an auxiliary organization for all SBC activities is discussed, including its promotion of tithing and stewardship, debt relief for SBC agencies during the Depression, and other activities. Communications through the WMU publication "Royal Service" are also mentioned.
