- Abstract
The article discusses Jewish renewal in Israel. The establishment of the State of Israel is considered by the author as the greatest act of Jewish renewal in the 20th century. He highlights the roles of the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of New York and the national federation system in building the foundation during the first decades of statehood. He also cites the support of North American Jewry for the development of alternate streams of affiliations. He considers ensuring support of Israelis for a Jewish renewal as the next frontier.
