- Abstract
The objective of this paper is to study the fault duration causing voltage collapse initiations in power system under different power system operating conditions, with different types of loads are applied. Also, indicates the effect of the value of transmission line impedances or Node Short Circuit Levels (NSCL) on the fault duration causing to reach voltage collapse, when opening line between two buses in the studied system. The studied power system is 3-machine nine bus modeled and solved using matlab software. The study indicates the values of the voltage collapse under different operating conditions with different transmission line impedances.
