- Abstract
In the period 2011 - 2013 research on spider fauna was carried out in non-forest habitats of the evicted area of the Horná Cirocha Catchment in the Poloniny National Park. Spiders were captured using pitfall traps, sifting, sweeping of vegetation and Malaise trap. Totally 26,885 specimens belonging to 234 spider species and 25 families were obtained during research period. The highest species richness for the whole research period was recorded on the mountain meadow Ruské 3 (83 species). From identified spiders, 38 species are listed in the Red List of Spiders of Slovakia of different threat category of threat. Micaria coarctata (Lucas, 1846) is new species for the Slovak spider fauna.
