- Title
The Implementation of the Right of Return.
- Authors
Sitta, Salman Abu
- Abstract
The article offers information on the perspectives shared by Salman Abu Sitta, founder and president of the Palestine Land Society and a member of the Palestine National Council, on the significance of the Right of Return to Palestinian refugees in Palestine. He mentions that these people are dispersed worldwide and majority of them lived in deplorable conditions. He believes that it is vital for them to return to their homeland to end the sufferings they experienced. He mentions that they have the right and are entitled to return to their homes because the International law prohibits the mass denationalization of people if the place they live undergoes a change of sovereignty. Moreover, Palestinians considered the Right of Return as sacred and they have no intention of abandoning it.
