- Authors
Frey, Roger M.; Krause, Irl Brown
- Abstract
The article investigates the incidence of color blindness among deaf children. The investigation's basis arose from studies indicating a significantly greater defective color perception among mentally retarded children than that found among non-retarded ones. There were two instruments used in conducting the deaf color vision study such as the Dvorine Pseudo-Isochromatic Color Vision Test and the Betts Telebinocular Vision Test. The result of the investigation indicated that more than 3 percent of the deaf children fell within the borderline degree of color blindness. While more than 5 percent frequency among these children fell within the moderate degree of color blindness area.
