- Title
Ken Clarke.
- Abstract
This article focuses on the views of Ken Clarke, a British politician and member of the British parliament. Ken Clarke MP made a speech giving his views on the public services to the Centre for Social Justice. Clarke observed that Labour had turned to "third-term Thatcherism" for its approach to public service reform. Turning to his own party he admitted that the Conservatives had a problem. According to Clarke, the Conservatives do not have the credibility with the public that enables them to propose radical reform in the public services. A a priority for Clarke will be to restore the public trust needed before people will believe that the Conservatives want to make the public services work better.
