Complete rectal prolapse (CRP) is the circumferential full thickness descent of the rectum through the anus. Unfortunately, clinical practice guidelines for treatment of rectal prolapse have not considered the optimal strategy for addressing CRP in men, leaving the selection of surgical treatment at the discretion of the surgeon.
