- Title
RESEARCH IN REVIEW.
- Abstract
This section provides an overview of various studies related to forestry. Permanent plots in 50-year-old balsam fir stands in northern New Brunswick were used to determine legacy effects of the 1969-1993 spruce budworm outbreak on stand development. Basal area growth of northern white-cedar was compared to that of balsam fir and red spruce in different sites in northern Maine. Information on how pine straw management practices affected the longleaf pine overstory and pine straw yields is also studied.
