A Note from the Editors.
Abstract
The author reflects on the significant changes in the Columbus Circle in New York City. The transformation of the high-end mall New York Coliseum into a Time Warner Center is cited. However, the author notes the important attractions in the area that were not changed such as the statue of Columbus and the horse-drawn carriages around the it. The author also notes the important historical meaning associated with the two structures which remained in the area.
