- Abstract
This research was conducted during 2008 and 2009 in the Archaeological Park of San Agustin, Huila and in the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Valle del Cauca, departments of Colombia. The purpose of this study was to identify development that reached the sculpture on their own conceptions of isometric transformations. The medium was used to potentiate the decoding logic of this construction was the Cabri Geometry II Plus program. That is, what we did was try to get closer to the processes of abstraction of these sculptors displaying some transformations in the plane, made in the statuary of San Agustin, of which they were conscious in their use. The analysis took photographs of the sculptures that were edited and thus be used as wallpaper in Cabri, this allowed the sculptors managed to verify that the transformations of translation, rotation, symmetry, shapes and perpendicular axes used in planning and development of the monuments.
