This article relates the experience of visiting the Saratoga Springs racecourse in New York with writer William A. Reuben. Reuben had been a press agent for the Metropolitan Opera and the American Civil Liberties Union, a phone salesman in Arizona, a taxi driver, and a plaintiff in numerous lawsuits. Bill prepared for a day at the races by buying both the Daily Racing Form and the Ragozin Sheets.
