Surviving Ineffective Leadership with Remarkable Lessons.

- Abstract
The current article reflects the leadership lessons I learned from observing the ineffective leadership behaviors of two school principals leading schools in marginalized communities. Remarkably, my experiences with two "worst bosses" inspired me to pursue the development of an educator preparation program framework that prepares aspiring school leaders to be culturally sustainable leaders of Title I, Part A program schools. It was also visible in the leadership of School Principal B. The principal led with an overseer mindset, constantly reminding the faculty that the accountability lay at the desk of the principal. As aspiring school principals, one looks to the school principal to develop assistant principals' capacity to be the lead principal.
