- Abstract
The article discusses the romance poem "Emaré," one of the most interesting exemplars in the early 15th century during the Medieval period. It states that the Medieval romance poem features a female protagonist which tells a version of the Constance-Saga. It mentions that "Emaré" is commonly known as didactic piece which solely exist in the manuscript of Cotton Caliguila A.ii. It relates the story of , the only child of an emperour who happened to disobey her father in marrying "The ryche kynge of Cesyle". It says that the emperour father ordered to put Emaré in a boat at the middle of the sea with no food but only with her robe.
