- Abstract
This article discusses a case of a 71-year-old woman who was initially diagnosed with lipodermatosclerosis, a vascular condition, but was later found to have subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL), a form of cutaneous lymphoma. The patient had undergone unnecessary venous interventions before the correct diagnosis was made. The article emphasizes the importance of considering nonvascular causes for atypical clinical findings and the need for collaboration between specialists. SPTCL has a good prognosis, with a 5-year overall survival rate of over 80%.
