- Abstract
The article discusses a survey on the preferences of consumers concerning the aging of red wines in barrels or through maceration with oak chips. Researchers found that 55 percent of respondents would not buy wines made with oak chips but would buy them if they had the same quality and taste as wines aged in barrels. The article also discusses wine consumption habits, wine preferences, wine purchasing intention by age, population and consumption frequency, factors for purchasing wine and sensory attributes for drinking wine.
