- Abstract
The article discusses several developments in the field of extraesophageal reflux (ERR), with special emphasis on new diagnostic modalities and treatment options. Some of the predominant symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) are cited including heartburn and regurgitation. It provides the Montreal definition of constituents syndromes of ERR. Also discussed are the conditions associated with GERD including asthma and laryngitis.
