- Abstract
The article focuses on a survey of China's research and development (R&D) in genetically modified crops to assess patent knowledge of Chinese scientists and the relationship between scientists' patent-using behaviors and their organizations' mandates. As per the survey, scientists were aware of the patent status of research tools used in R&D. The study suggests that the scientists research mandates are reflected by their knowledge and behavior related to intellectual property rights.
