- Abstract
The article discusses the changes in dietary phosphate content as a major regulator of rat renal sodium-dependent phosphate transport (Na-Pi). Dietary Pi restriction is linked with an adaptive increase of the overall proximal tubular capacity to reabsorb Pi. Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were used to support the data.
