- Abstract
The article focuses on a study regarding management of foreign bodies present in the upper gastrointestinal tract (UGIT). Topics discussed include significant number of cases of endoscopic ingestion of foreign bodies in China, increase in the risk of damage with increase in time of ingestion, diagnosis by laryngoscopy and endoscopy, endoscopic treatment of foreign bodies present in UGIT, and indications regarding endoscopic treatment such as endotracheal intubation.
